McMinnville resident and Van Buren County native James P. Haston, 93, died March 7 at Bluff Springs Manor after an extended illness.A retired factory worker at Century Electric and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Ollie Mae (Mills) and James Morgan Haston. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Hodge Haston; sister, Alberta Haston Moody; and four brothers, Robert, J.L., Gaines and Billy Haston.He is survived by sisters, Margaret Haston Narramore Cope of Sparta, and Grace Simmons Haston of Sparta; special sister-in-law, Wilba Hodge Walker of McMinnville; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Steve Haston officiating.
