McMinnville resident and DeKalb County native James Loss Herrin, 82, was born Jan. 15, 1930 and died March 31 following an extended illness. A retired employee of Carrier Corporation and EMS and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Warren and Martha Steele Herrin. He was married to Wavie Marie Roberts Herrin, who preceded him in death March 14, 2009.
