James (Jimmy) Shields Jr. was born July 15, 1944 in Nashville and passed away on July 11.He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Edith Shields. He is survived by his wife, Neva Thrower Shields and his aunt, Martha Hesson; mother-in-law, Becky Redmon; father-in-law, Clarence Thrower; sisters-in-law, Tina (Jeffery) Hobbs, Cyndi (Brad) Cantrell; brother-in-law, David (Deedee) Thrower; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. He was a retired musician who led the Anglo-Saxons and Stonehenge Bands.Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of serve at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ellis Funeral Home.
