James Everett Walling

James Everett Walling, a McMinnville resident and Bledsoe County native, died March 7 at River Park Hospital.
He was the retired owner of Black Cat Tire Exchange, Village Car Wash and Vilco Supply. He was active in the Jaycees and honored in the McMinnville Rotary Club with the Paul Harris Fellowship award.
For several years he served on the board of City Bank & Trust Company and McMinnville Electric System. He served with the Tennessee Army National Guard, was a member of First United Methodist Church, and son of the late Al and Reva Walling.
Mr. Walling is survived by two daughters, LaNae (Joe) Anish of McMinnville, and LeAnn Walling of Sevierville; three grandchildren, Ashlyn, Ayla and Emory Anish and stepbrother Gene Frady of Pikeville.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in High’s Chapel with Paul Roberts to officiate. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m. Wednesday until time of service at High’s. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
