James Edward “Jimmy” Broom Jr., 57, of McMinnville died Tuesday, Feb. 18, at River Park Hospital.
He was born in McMinnville on Aug. 10, 1956 was and engineer and owner of Broom Construction. Mr. Broom was preceded in death by his parents James Edward and Betty Jo Brown Broom Sr.
Survivors include his companion, Rhonda Gibbs and her daughter Lindsey Gibbs; stepson, Jamison (Amy) Crouch; brother and sister-in-law, Eastland and Kim Broom; nieces, Amy (Tommy) Pollina, Kirby Broom, and Macy Broom, and great-nephew Locklan Cantrell.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Benny Tate will officiate. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The Broom family will receive friends Friday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
