James Edward “Jimmy” Bond, 78, of White, Ga., previously of Warren County, died Saturday, Nov. 21 in Cartersville, Ga. Born on March 12, 1937 in McMinnville, he attended Tennessee Technological University, worked at Parks Belk Department Store, served his country as a dental technician in the U. S. Air Force, retired as a Southern Baptist pastor for over 50 years and was a member of Rowland Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Bond was preceded in death by his father, Huston Bond, and brother, Carl Bond.Surviving are his wife, Helen Mills Bond; mother, Violet Bond, brothers Johnny (Joyce) Bond of McMinnville and Robert “Bob” Bond of Jackson; children, Mike (Janeen) Bond of Woodstock, Ga., Darrell Bond (Ruth Rogers) of McMinnville, and Jamie (Danny) Gastley of Dallas, Ga.; grandchildren, Rebecca (Mike) Nickeas, Michael (Kylie) Bond, Alisha (Adam) Ramsey, Adam (Mandy) Bond, Nathan Bond, Brittany (Anthony) Millsap, Spencer (Heather) Reynolds, and Jared (Krista) Reynolds, and great-grandchildren, Keller Bond, Sarah Ramsey, Kaelli Ramsey, Kamden Millsap, Brantley Reynolds, Saily Bond, Ally, Magen, Haley who is on the way, and more to come. Many nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
