McMinnville resident and Giles County native James Dwight Hopkins, 72, was born May 22, 1945 and died May 8 at his sister’s residence in Elkmont, Ala., following an extended illness. A self-employed construction worker and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Roy and Emma Bryant Hopkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Kenneth Hopkins; sister Betty Bond; and two brothers, Randall Hopkins and Buddy Evans.He was married to Peggy Lou Wray Hopkins of McMinnville.
