McMinnville resident and Warren County native James Clarence Williams, 83, was born March 14, 1935 and died July 9 suddenly from an auto accident in Smiths Grove, Ky.
Retired from DeZurik Corporation, he was the son of the late Brown Williams and Edna Walling Williams Worthington. In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by stepfather Clarence Worthington; and all of his aunts and uncles.
He is survived by two daughters, Annette Robertson and Jackie Simpson, both of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Jacob Simpson, Kayla Simpson, April Vance and Matthew Robertson, all of McMinnville; 14 great-grandchildren all of McMinnville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
J.C. Williams will always be remembered for naming everyone he would meet “Easy Money” and when one asked him how he was, he would say, “I’m alright for a poor boy.”
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, in High’s Chapel with Eddie Vance officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
