Altamont resident and Warren County native Jaden Antonio Luis Perez, 12, was born Jan. 31, 2001 and died unexpectedly Sept. 26 at Emerald Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee. He was a seventh-grade student at North Elementary School.
He is survived by his guardians, uncle and aunt, Fernando Perez and Tina King of Altamont; father, Ricardo Perez of Arkansas; mother, Lara Stevens of McMinnville; siblings, Dakota, Elizabeth, Sebastain, Emily, Alberto, Kellie, Miranda, Alexis, Kevin and Kimberly; paternal grandparents, Inez and Antonio Perez of Mexico; maternal grandparents, Mary and Randal Stevens of McMinnville; uncles, Jose Perez, Eugenio Perez and Heriberto Perez; aunts, Maria Perez, Juana Perez, Lupita Perez, Samantha Rojas and Tabitha Stevens; and cousin, Braxton King.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Edgar, Juan and Justin King. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at High’s Chapel with Wayne Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Center Hill Cemetery at Hills Creek. Visitation will be held from noon until 9 p.m. Sunday, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday at High’s.
