Howard Carmel Allen, 90, of McMinnville died Friday, Dec. 2 at his residence. He was born Jan. 3, 1921, in Cleveland, Ark., and was a retired sheet metal worker, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, and a member of People of the Living God Church. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Iulus and Bonnie Huffmaster Allen, his wife Evola Jones Allen, son Wayne Allen, and brother Julius Allen.Survivors include son, Jesse Allen of Enfield, Conn.; grandchildren, Michael Allen, Nashville, Jason Allen, Daniel Allen, and Julia Allen all of Enfield, Conn., and sisters, Dorothy Gough, Margie Thrash, and Lynn Duett, all of Collinsville, Ms.Funeral service is 10 a.m. Monday at People of the Living God Church.
