Helen Virginia Fletcher, 80

Manchester resident and Flintville native, Helen Virginia Fletcher, 80, died at her home Monday after an extended illness.
The daughter of the late Ralph and Vessie Winn, she followed her sharecropping family to Alabama, Georgia, and Hillsboro. She married Basil Fletcher on Jan. 7, 1950. During the early years of their marriage, she was a homemaker, a factory worker, and assisted Basil in his ministry needs. She later became involved in party catering and special care needs to the elderly. She was a member of Forest Mills Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fletcher was preceded in death by her spouse, Basil Fletcher; great-grandparents, Robert and Emma McGuire Winn; two grandsons, Christopher Fletcher and Nathan Fletcher; two sisters, Henrietta Adams and Gertie Shearer; one brother, Jerry Winn; and brother-in-law, John T. (Betty) Fletcher.
She is survived by one daughter, Deborah (John) Baugh of Lebanon,; two sons, Rex (Portia) Fletcher of Orlando, Fla., and David (Rhonda) Fletcher of Manchester; one brother, Donald (Shirley) Winn of Zebulon, Ga.; two sisters, Katherine (Henry) Fults of Abbeville, Ga., and Lynde McBride of Jefferson, Ind.; sisters-in-law, Martha Swanger of Manchester and Nelda (Dick) Twitchell of Hixon; five grandchildren, Seth Fletcher, Autumn Potter, Adam Fletcher, Jared Fletcher and Amber Fletcher; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the Fletcher family will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
