Harold S. Brown, 90, of McMinnville died Friday, March 22 at Tennessee State Veteran’s Home in Murfreesboro after an extended illness. Harold was born in McMinnville on Feb. 22, 1923, the son of the late Doshie (Coppinger) and Andrew F. Brown.He was a member of Way of the Cross Baptist Church of McMinnville and worked at BRC in McMinnville for 50 years. He served in the U.S. Army as a private in World War II.He is survived by daughter Judith A. Brown, and husband Lee Walker of McMinnville; son Bobby D., and wife Brenda Brown of McMinnville; seven grandchildren, Leslie and wife Melody Ward of McMinnville, Kyle and wife Stephanie Ward of McMinnville, Kim Woodlee of McMinnville, Melissa and husband Danny Jones of McMinnville; seven great-grandchildren, Dylan Ward, Carson Ward, Addison Jones, Annabell Woodlee, Lakeland Jones, Kristin Gross and husband Aubrey Green, Shelby Grissom; three great-great-grandchildren, Anden Green, Eastlan Green, Bryce Grisson; two step-grandchildren, Jamie and wife Melissa Jordan, Candy and Nathan Jones; nine step-great-grandchildren, Christian and Justin Grissom, Jayme Jordan, Garth Jordan, Christian Jordan, Sasha Jordan, Garvin Jordan, Shelby Green, Gadge Green, Wesley Jones; three step-great-great-grandchildren, Regan Grissom, Jaxon Grissom, Paige Sweeton.The family will receive friends at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. with Ray Skyles officiating.
