McMinnville resident and Viola native Harold “Mr. T.” Thomas, 80, was born July 2, 1937 and died July 24 at his residence following a sudden illness.A retired cook with Medley’s Diner and a member of East End Drive Church of Christ, he was the son of the late John Leonard “Abe” and Ina Pauline Northcutt Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.He was married in 1958 to Caroline Martin Thomas of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Howard Anthony and Debbie Thomas of McMinnville, Fredrick Steven “Steve” and Tia Thomas of Temple, Texas, and William Harold and Bobbie Thomas of Belton, Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred and Donny Wooten of Manchester, Terry Lynn Thomas of Temple, Texas, and Christy Loraine Thomas and Javier Villegas of McMinnville; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evie Northcutt of Tullahoma, and Henrietta Lusk of Morrison; five sisters-in-law, Betty Martin, Jacqueline Cabell and Veleria Martin, all of McMinnville, Barbara Martin of South Carolina, and Birda Thomas of Murfreesboro; two brothers-in-law, Greg Martin and wife Rita of McMinnville and Danny Martin and wife Terri of McMinnville; and a host of nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 29, in High’s Chapel with Bro.
