Hermitage resident and McMinnville native Glenn Bond, 73, died July 26 at his home after a short illness.An employee of Two Rivers Ford in Mt. Juliet, he was the son of the late Henry and Willie (Whitlock) Bond; brothers, James H. Bond and Howard L. Bond.He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Debra Burns Bond; daughter and son-in-law, Gail Bond Whiteaker and Johnny of McMinnville; sons and daughters-in-law, Rick Bond and Sonja, Jeff Bond and Kathy, all of McMinnville, Chad Bond and fiancee, Amy Grube of Lebanon; stepdaughter, Kimberly Summerlin and husband Ty of Pensacola, Fla.; and sister, Margaret Blesse of Frensco, Calif.; grandchildren, Shayne, Matthew and Skyler Whiteaker, Courtney Oleksik and Cameron Bond, all of McMinnville, and six great-grandchildren.Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Providence Baptist Church.
