McMinnville resident and Warren County native Gladys Margaret Martin Walker, 93, was born April 11, 1920 and died suddenly Oct. 30 in McMinnville.A retired employee of McMinnville Garment Company and a member of West Riverside Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Ella Millraney Martin. She was married to Silas Walker, who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jessie Gillitine and Edna Curtis; and brother, Woodrow Martin.She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Jesse Fitts of McMinnville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Silas R. and Janet Walker of the Eastside community and Fred Steven and Brenda Walker of Rock Island; five grandchildren, Clint Walker, Mike Fitts, Jerry Fitts, Misty Martin and Jessica Fitts; six great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Claudia Martin of McMinnville, and Sam and Gerri Martin of McMinnville; three sisters, Lorene Hillis, Martha Martin and Juanita King, all of McMinnville; and brother-in-law, Leon Gillitine of Michigan.Funeral service will be held at noon Saturday at High’s Chapel with Ray Weddington officiating.
