Geraldine Davenport Morton, 74, a McMinnville resident and native, was born Dec. 23, 1942 and died July 19 in NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness.She was a retired office manager for Dr. Questell, member of Dayspring Community Church and daughter of the late Elsie Lee and Irene Rogers Davenport. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband William “Bud” Morton; daughter Brenda Lee Tanner; and sons Scotty Joe Morton and Richey Lavoy Morton.Mrs. Morton is survived by Barry Swim of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Kim Tanner of McMinnville; grandchildren, Jessie Tanner and Blake Morton, both of McMinnville; former husband, Tommy Tanner of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Cindy Clemons of the Centertown Community; sister Paulette Lyle of Morrison; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 21 at High’s Chapel with Rex Boles to officiate.
