Rock Island resident and Warren County native Georgia Smith Hayes, 89, was born May 26, 1922 and died June 24 at her residence following an extended illness.A salesperson with Smith Brothers Nursery and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Elmon and Edith McBride Smith. She was married to Len Gilbert Hayes, who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Ann Womack; and brother, Franklin D. Smith.
