McMinnville resident and Van Buren County native Georgia Bell Hodge, 84, was born March 30, 1928 and died Jan. 31 at Raintree Manor following an extended illness.A homemaker and a member of Locust Street Church of God, she was the daughter of the late David Ray and Edna Mae Mills Shockley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years Robert Hodge Jr.; daughter, Carolyn Martin; brother, Charles Shockley; and four sisters, Florencene Johnson, Wilma Luna, Evelyn Womack, and Davidene Tobitt.She is survived by one daughter, Debbie Hodge of McMinnville; three grandchildren and their spouses, Tena and Steve Qualls of Sparta, Michelle and Scott Reeder of Hendersonville, and Sha and Chris Wanamaker of McMinnville; five great-grandchildren, Taylor, Allison, Morgan, Jamison and Trevor; two great-great-grandchildren, Bryah and Kenzi; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Nina and R.C. Tobitt of McMinnville, Donna and Jimmy Brady of Florida and Carlene and Charles Hopkins of McMinnville; special great-niece, Lauren Tobitt of McMinnville; and aunt, Mary Ruth Davis of Van Buren County.Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in High’s Chapel with Steve Qualls officiating.
