Rock Island resident Geoffrey R. “Geoffro” Wood, 48, died unexpectedly Nov. 5 at River Park Hospital.A pipe fitter in the air conditioning industry, he was the son of Jimmy D. Wood and the late Linda L. (Lengel) Wood.He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Wendy R. Emerson Wood of Cookson, Okla.; father, Jimmy Wood of McMinnville; daughter, Tara Wood of McMinnville; sons, Geoffrey Scott Wood, Ryan Gibson and Bryan Gibson, both of Cookson; sisters, Tina Craig of McMinnville, Tamala Wood of Bakersfield, Calif., and Melody and husband, Steven Hill of Kansas City, Mo.; brothers, Charles Wood of McMinnville, Ricky and wife Suzie Zenger of Caldwell, Idaho; two grandchildren, Eryn-Jo Gibson and Averly Elzabeth Neal; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Steve Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
