Mrs. Geneva Doris Prater, 81, of McMinnville passed away Thursday, July 12, at NHC Healthcare. She was born July 19, 1936 in DeKalb County, was retired from Century Electric and a member of Victory Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Prater was preceded in death by parents Jesse Lee and Emma Velma Braswell Arnold, granddaughter Jessica Prater, brothers Ronnie Arnold, Glenn Arnold, and sister Bertie Carlisle.Survivors include husband Hubert Prater, daughter Kimberly (Carl) Renee Curtis, sons Danny Prater (Charlene) and Jerry Prater, sister Wanda Adams, grandchildren, Miranda (Dustin) Stephens, Dustin Prater, Heather Prater, Breanna Prater, Madison Curtis, and Courtney Curtis, and great-grandchildren, Autumn Stephens, Lakelyn Stephens and Gracie Tripp.Funeral service for Mrs. Prater will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
