Mrs. Geneva Crouch Tenpenny, 83, a McMinnville resident, was born June 27, 1931 in Morgan County, Ala., and died March 3 at NHC Healthcare.
She was the daughter of Marvin and Irene Crouch. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Hoyt Crouch and Ray Crouch, sister-in-law Nancy Crouch, and nephew Rickey Crouch.
She was a member of East End Church of Christ and a graduate of Central High School and Nashville Business College. She was employed at Genesco, and then later was secretary for Hoover & Son Insurance and Dillon Insurance.
Survivors include her husband, she was the love of his life for 48 years, Jewell Ray Tenpenny, sister Elizabeth (Winfred) Murphy, brothers Leonard (June) Crouch, Marvin (Geneva) Crouch, Don (Jane) Crouch, sister-in-law Wanda Crouch, nephews Gerald, Michael, Tim, Jeff, Randy, Russell, and Mark Crouch, Bryan and Kevin Murphy, and Shannon and Joey McNutt, all of McMinnville, special caregiver Robin Nichols, and many friends.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Kevin Key will officiate. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery. The Tenpenny family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and again Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
