Geneva Cantrell Golden of Ringgold, Ga., died Friday, Nov. 25 at the age of 100.She was born Aug. 25, 1911 in DeKalb County to Ransom and Lillian Cantrell and spent most of her early years in Warren County. She had lived for the past 50 years in Ringgold, Ga. She was a woman of great love for her family, friends and church who dedicated her entire, highly productive life to serving others. She was the caregiver for many children in and out of her family and never ceased looking for ways to help everyone she knew.She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Leighton Golden in 1977, one son, Jack Golden in 1969, three brothers and five sisters.She is survived by two sons, Ben Golden of Marietta Ga., and Bobby Golden of Chattanooga; daughters, Linda Carlson and Joyce Gowin, both of Ringgold, Ga.; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; sister, Alma Lusk of Manchester; brother-in-law, John Biddle of McMinnville; three sisters-in-law, Clara Cantrell, Nan Cantrell, and Frankie Golden, all of McMinnville.Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Ringgold Church of Christ in Ringgold, Ga. Burial will follow at Anderson Cemetery.
