McMinnville resident and Belgreen, Ala., native Geneva Butcher Warren, 85, was born Aug. 12, 1925 and died July 9 at her residence following an extended illness.A homemaker and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late W.T. and Bessie Whiteacre Butcher. She was married to Calvin C. “Ray” Warren, who preceded her in death Oct. 20, 1999. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Cunningham; two brothers, Rabon and Alton Butcher; niece, Debbie Studer; and nephew, Jerry Crawford.She is survived by three children, David Cunningham of McMinnville, Terry Cunningham and wife Marie of Prattville, Ala., and Sonja Barnes of Nashville; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Emma Jean Cole of Rock Island and Willene “Bill” Crawford of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law, Clinton and Irene Butcher of McMinnville; and two nephews, Tommy Crawford of McMinnville and Jimmy Crawford of DeKalb County.Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today in High’s Chapel with David Daugherty officiating.
Geneva Butcher Warren, 85
