McMinnville resident and Niota, Tenn. native Gary R. Reed, 69, was born April 11, 1953 and died March 28, 2023 at his residence following an extended illness.           

A retired truck driver with Celadon Trucking, he was the son of the late Nile Robert and Kathryne Louise Willis Reed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Charlotte Reno and brother, Mikey Reed.

Mr. Reed is survived by daughter, Brandy McKinley of McMinnville; son, Daniel Reed of Texas; grandchildren, Trenton McKinley, Shelby Blount and Melliana Reed; great-grandchild, Railynn Blount; brother, Jack Reed and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at High’s.
