Gary Marshall Carter, 59, of Smithville died Tuesday morning at his residence. He was a logger and a member of Whorton Springs Baptist Church. Carter was preceded in death by his father, L.G. Carter, his maternal grandparents, Estill and Lena Judkins; and his paternal grandparents, Alfred and Allie Carter.Survivors include his wife, Glenda Popplewell Carter of Smithville; four children, Gary Lynn Carter of Greenbrier, Jonathan Ross and wife Ashley Carter of Woodbury, Kallie Leann Carter and Haley Glynn Carter of Smithville; three grandchildren, Katherine, Elizabeth, and Victoria; his mother, June Carter of Smithville; brother, Terry Alan Carter of Smithville, and a brother of heart, Jeffrey Carter of Smithville.
