Fred Wesley Sain Jr., 97, a McMinnville resident and Davidson County native, was born Dec. 7, 1919 and died May 16 in NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness.He was retired from the United States Post Office, a United States Navy veteran of World War II, member of Bybee Branch Church of Christ and longtime member of Central Church of Christ and son of the late Fred Wesley and Ruby Irene Stubblefield Sain. Mr. Sain was married Nov. 13, 1938 to Laura Kathryn Martin Sain, who preceded him in death on Feb. 4, 2008. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brother Raymond Sain; and sisters Mary Bailey, Frances Prater and Mildred McGiboney.
