Frankie Jo Hobbs, 82

Frankie Jo Hobbs, 82, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, was born Nov. 5, 1935 and died May 14 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

She was retired from Finley, a member of the Church of Christ, and daughter of the late James Sidney and Sally Ruth Parker Pistole. Mrs. Hobbs was married Dec. 8, 1952 to Leonard Paul Hobbs, who preceded her in death June 21, 2008.

Survivors include son, Carlton Hobbs and Cindy Hillis of Morrison; three grandchildren, Jennifer and Jason Phipps of Spring Hill, Rachel and Josh Pepper of McMinnville and Ashley Hobbs of Morrison; great-grandchildren Lane Phipps, Alexis Phipps, Ansley Pepper and Sophia Pepper; sister and brother-in-law, Georgia and Marlin Tubb of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Melba Pistole of McMinnville; and nieces and nephews, Julie and Shane Green of Manchester, Mike Pistole, Jimmie Dean and Jeff Bush and Elaine and Melvin Childers, all of McMinnville.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 17, at High’s Chapel with Tony Lawrence to officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and 9 a.m. Thursday until the time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
