Frances Lucille “Granny” Hembree, 96, of Quebeck died at NHC of Sparta, Friday, Dec. 26.
Mrs. Hembree was born in Warren County on Feb. 24, 1918. She was the daughter of Luther Roberts Sr., and Hester Hitchcock Roberts. Mrs. Hembree was a member of Quebeck Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Simpson Hembree; four brothers, Herbert, Pascal, Luther Jr., and C.L. Roberts; and son-in-law, Richard Roberts.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann Roberts of Quebeck; two grandchildren, Mike Roberts and Michelle (R.C.) Christian; five great-grandchildren, Matt and Ethan Roberts, Shelby, Hannah and Mallory Christian.
Funeral services were held at Thurman Funeral Home on Monday with Gene Brock and Dwight Fuqua officiating. Interment followed at Jericho Cemetery.
