McMinnville resident and Coffee County native Frances England, 84, was born March 14, 1938 and died April 6 at her residence following an extended illness. 

A retired cashier from Walmart and member of McMinnville First Freewill Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Walden and Bessie Lowery Walden Floyd. She was married to John England of McMinnville on Sept. 12, 1958.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. England is survived by two sons, Randy England (Neva) and Gary England (Pam), both of McMinnville, two grandchildren, Jessica Simmons (Nathan) of Cleveland, and Victoria England Nelson (Jared) of Tullahoma, three great-grandchildren, Mable Grace Nelson, Neil Simmons and Thomas Simmons; three step-grandchildren, Albert Frasier (Abi) of Rock Island, Andy Frasier of Cookeville, and Curtis Frasier (Jenny) of Boise, ID; five step-great-grandchildren, Thor, August, Aiden, Elias and Alden Frasier; three sisters, Betty Smith of Cookeville, Ola Yates of McMinnville, and Helen Hutchings (Don) of Soddy Daisy, half-brother Timothy Floyd (Carol) of Denver, CO and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 8, at High’s Chapel with Brett Cook and Bill Eversole officiating. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at High’s. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Smyrna Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at
