Frances Cantrell Garrison, 84

Frances "Griggy" Cantrell Garrison, 84, a Warren County resident and native was born October 27, 1934 and passed away August 24 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following an extended illness.

She was retired from Genesco and Findlay, a member of Central Church of Christ and daughter of the late John J. and Clara Mai Hodges Cantrell. Garrison was married July 5, 1952 to Joe Brown Garrison who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Arsey Womack and James Stotts.

Survivors include children and spouses, Mike and Nancy Garrison of Battlecreek, Mich., Randy and Lisa Garrison and Debbie and Mark Haley, all of McMinnville; grandchildren and spouses, Jesse and Jessica Garrison of Battlecreek, Mich., Ross and Lacy Garrison of McMinnville, Reed Tucker Garrison of McMinnville, Kallie and Tyler Shelton of Fayetteville, Kyle and Alli Haley of McMinnville and Tanera Steagall of McMinnville; great-grandchild, Jack Steagall of McMinnville; sister, Betty Womack of McMinnville; sister-in-law, Marietta Stotts of McMinnville; and several nephews.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 27 in Mt. View Cemetery with Steve Stubblefield to officiate. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday and 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday at High’s.
