Frances Alene Spruill, 89, of McMinnville died Monday, Dec. 9 at NHC Health Care Center in McMinnville. She was born Nov. 3, 1924, in Nashville and was a retired factory worker with Magnetek Century Electric, and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Mrs. Spruill was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Roy and Mattie Lee Sherrod Frizzell, her husband Edwin (Eddie) Spruill, her daughter Marilyn Kay Merriman, and her sisters Dorothy Baugh and Catherine Holly.Survivors include her daughter Claudia Jill (Gary) Griffin, son-in-law Luther Merriman, and brothers Roy Lee Frizzell, and Billy Frizzell, grandchildren Angie (Joey) Spicer, Tish (Jason) Perry, and Monica (Micah) Hartsfield, great-grandchildren Charlotte (Tim) Evans, Colby Spicer, Brandon and Nathan Robbins, and Sarah Perry, and great-great grandchild Braylen Evans.Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
