McMinnville resident and Estancia, N.M. native Flora Maria Louisa Blea Herndon, 85, was born March 12, 1933 and died May 10 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following an extended illness.
A retired factory worker, she was the daughter of the late Enasio Blea and Sara Maldonado Blea. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five children, Glenn Reynolds, Kenneth Ronald Reynolds Jr., Sara Lou Reynolds, Christina Mae Harald and Teddy Martin; three brothers, Benny Blea, Manuel Blea and Ernest Blea, and sister Elsie Otero.
Mrs. Herndon was married Nov. 12, 1987 to Wavell Herndon of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Margaret Renee and Edward Villarreal of Texas, Debra Michelle Reynolds of Pikeville, and Anthony Matthew Herndon of McMinnville; son-in-law, Alfredo Jaramillo of New Mexico; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, May 14, at High’s Chapel with David Mahan officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service Monday at High’s. Mrs. Herndon will be cremated following the funeral service.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
