McMinnville resident and Chihuahua, Mexico native Felipe Alvarado Lopez, 51, was born Feb. 5, 1965 and died suddenly Jan. 7 following an auto accident.A nursery worker and a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church, he was the son of Lorenza Lopez of Chihuahua, Mexico and the late Encarnacion Alvarado.In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Pedro Alvarado of Cookeville and Felipe and Edith Alvarado of Juarez, Mexico; daughter and son-in-law, Alma Lucina and Horacio Betancourt of McMinnville; and four grandchildren, Marianna Betancourt, Natalia Betancourt, Leonardo Alvarado and Leoneo Alvarado.Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at High's Chapel with Father David Cooney officiating.
