Ethel Stotts Pierce, 88

Ethel Stotts Pierce, 88, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, was born Aug. 24, 1932 and passed Sept. 1 at NHC in Smithville following an extended illness.

She was a retired bank courier with First National Bank, a member of the Church of Christ, and the daughter of the late Leonidas “Lon” and Oma Fults Stotts. She was also preceded in death by son Larry M. Stotts, husband Art Pierce, and grandparents James Madison and Henrietta Barnes Stotts, and George K. and Annie Lee Hobbs Fults.

Ms. Pierce is survived by brother Pete (Patsy) Stotts of Viola, nephews Donnie (Bobbi) Stotts of Viola, and Jimmy (Ruth) Stotts of Summitville, and daughter-in-law Debbie Stotts of McMinnville.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Coffee County with Bill Boyd officiating. Family and friends are to meet at cemetery. No visitation will be held at High’s. Online condolences may be made at
