Emma Ruth Killian Hill Jackson, affectionately known to so many as “Mama Ruth,” was born on July 24, 1939 in Grundy County and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday night, Sept. 14, 2022 at the age of 83. She was the eldest child of the late Willie and Emma Lee Hobbs Killian. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Bro.
