Emma Frances Moore Prater, 86, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, was born June 8, 1931 and died Aug. 18 in NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness.She was a professor of P.E. at David Lipscomb University for 20 years, teacher with the Warren County School System, member of the Church of Christ and daughter of the late William H. and Georgia Hayes Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband William S. Prater; sister Billie Joyce Rowland; and niece Linda Holland.Mrs. Prater is survived by niece, Carolyn Goralski and husband Mike of McMinnville; great-nephews, Bill Roberts and Travis Holland and wife Amy all of McMinnville; great-niece, Anita West of McMinnville; two great-great-nieces, Constance Eldridge and KaTosha Roberts; and brother-in-law, Paul Rowland of McMinnville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23 in High’s Chapel with Kevin Key to officiate.
