Elwyn John Hochrein, 55

McMinnville resident Elwyn John Hochrein died May 8 in Cookeville following an extended illness.
He was a truck driver and was known as a good guy, always helping folks he spotted on the road. He was a member of McMinnville First Assembly of God Church.   
Mr. Hochrein was born on April 28, 1958 in Idaho and was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Elaine Call Hochrein. 
He is survived by his sister Jean Elley of Spokane, Wash.; daughter, Veronica Smiley of California; and grandchildren, Chase and Quinn Hochrein, and Zachery Newman of Oregon. Also by his stepdaughter, Alyssa Lobaugh of McMinnville.
A memorial service will be held immediately following the worship service on Sunday evening, May 26 at 7 p.m. at McMinnville First Assembly with Pastor Sammy Lee officiating. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society.
