Elsa Josefa Mullican, 85, a Rock Island resident, passed away Aug. 25 at St. Thomas West Hospital. She was born May 6, 1933 in Linz at the Danube, Austria.

She was a retired employee of Magnetek, member of Mt. View Church of Christ and daughter of the late, Franz and Theresia Noesslbock Mistebacher.

Ms. Mullican is survived by children and spouses, Louis D. Mullican of Rock Island, Vera and Kenny Kuhn of Rock Island, Sam and Charlotte Mullican of McMinnville; four grandchildren and spouses, Josh Kuhn of Rock Island, Haley and Jordan Hutchison, Brad and Letitia Mullican and Jessica and Jody Denney, all of McMinnville; three great-grandchildren, Maxton Denney, Austin Mullican and Oaklen Hutchison; two sisters, Martha Reitinger and Mini Richtsfeld, both of Austria; brother Fred Noesslbock of Austria; and numerous nieces and nephews in Austria.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at High’s Chapel with Joe Solomon to officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery on Hwy. 30. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and 12 p.m. Thursday until the time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
