Elizabeth Pugh Smith, 69, of McMinnville died Thursday, Oct. 13 at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville.She was born Nov. 15, 1941, in McMinnville and was a longtime employee of City Bank & Trust Company and a member of Locust Street Church of God where she formerly served as piano player. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents Grady and Sally Lizzie Phillips Pugh.Survivors include her husband, Earl W. Smith, son Garry W. Smith, both of McMinnville; grandchildren Sain Smith of Hillsboro, and Shelby Smith Durham of Marinna, Fla.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Arlan and Rhevelle Smith of Livonia, Mich.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jenel and Walter “Ike” Farrer of Murfreesboro; and special cousins Dorothy Hitchcock, Troy Pugh, Gail Turner, Oleta Atkinson, Jim Phillips, and Joy Jones. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.Funeral service is 2 p.m. today at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
