Edwin Ray Buddy Martin, 81

Former Campaign resident and McMinnville native Edwin Ray “Buddy” Martin, 81, died Aug. 23 after a long battle with health issues.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Plumb Masonic Lodge in Louisville, Ky., where he had resided for many years. He was an avid bluegrass music fan and accomplished guitarist and singer.
He is survived by his daughters, Sherrie (John) Burger and Laurie (Andy) Murphy; grandchildren Legend (Jen Bak) Montgomery, Destiny Montgomery and Corby Burger, brother Jack (Sue) Martin, and longtime companion Marie LaFever.
He was the son of the late Spurgeon and Bella Martin and was also preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
