Morrison resident and Lepanto, AR native Edward Harlin Ryan, 85, was born Jan. 13, 1934 and died Feb. 15 at his daughter’s residence following an extended illness.

A driver with UCHRA, a United States Air Force veteran of Korea and Vietnam, and a member of Smartt Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Casper and Maggie Dickinson Ryan. He was married Nov. 5, 1987 to Ina Lee Johnson Curtis Ryan, who preceded him in death April 16, 2016.

He is survived by three children, Stephanie R. Palmer of Birmingham, Ala., Edward H. “Eddie” Ryan Jr. of Indiana, and Darrell G. Ryan of Winchester, two stepdaughters, Debbie Curtis of Murfreesboro, and Vickie White of Walling, nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and sister Louise Ryan Baker of Marked Tree, AR.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at High’s Chapel with Steve Hillis officiating. Burial will follow at Long Cemetery in Van Buren County. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
