Edna Beulah Asleson, 92, a Rock Island resident and Sawyer, N.D., native, died Feb. 26 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness.She was a retired registered nurse with Brotman Memorial Hospital, a member of the Baptist Church, and daughter of the late Elmer P. and Amanda B. Olson Williams.She was married in 1944 to Leonard W. Asleson, who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by special friend, Joseph Levendorf.Mrs. Asleson is survived by children, Sharlo R. (Arthur) Cruz of Long Beach, Calif.; Carla Kirby of Rock Island; Christine Asleson of Nevada and Douglas G. (Beverly) Asleson of Norwalk, Calif.; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and brother, Dennis Williams of Washington state.A memorial service will be held in California at a later date.Southern Standard(McMinnville, Tenn.)
