Edith Jeanette Rankhorn, 61, a McMinnville resident and New Hope, Ky., native was born Dec. 11, 1951 and died Sept. 12 at her residence following an extended illness.
She was a former employee of Bouldin & Lawson and member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church and the daughter of the late Thomas Floyd and Mary Corinne Vittitow Nalley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Frances Geraldine Nalley and Marie Nalley; three brothers, Paul, Jimmy and Gerald Nalley; and brother-in-law, Joe Rankhorn.
She was married to David E. Rankhorn, who survives. She is also survived by daughter, Ashley (Mike) Baker of Livingston; grandson, Michael Baker; four sisters, Lucille (Wayne) Raisor of Magnolia, Ky.; Inez Mattingly of New Hope, Ky.; Christine (Tom) Hagan of Jacksonville, Fla., and Georgia (Wes) Rowlett of Lebanon Junction, Ky.; two brothers, Lennie (Leola) Nalley of Loretto, Ky., and Dean (Lenora) Nalley of Holy Cross, Ky.; and sister-in-law, Donna (Mark) Stewart of Rock Island. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Catherine’s Catholic Church with Father David Cooney to officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 9 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m., and Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at High Funeral Home.
