Eddie Gordon Hillis, 72, a Warren County resident and native, was born Oct. 23, 1946 and passed away Dec. 28 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was a self-employed nurseryman, member of the Church of Christ, and son of the late Lindzey and Florence Bain Hillis.

Mr. Hillis is survived by his wife Sharon Kay Womack Hillis of McMinnville; son Trent Gordon Hillis of McMinnville; daughter Angela Faith Doak of McMinnville; grandchildren Shelby L. Hillis, Lindsey Hillis, Ethan Hillis, Kayla Doak and Jeremiah Doak, all of McMinnville; great-grandson Preston Wanamaker; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside service and interment was Saturday, Dec. 29, at Mt. View Cemetery with Ernest Cantrell officiating. There will be no service or visitation at High’s.
