McMinnville resident and Warren County native Earle T. Starkey, 86, was born July 5, 1924 and died April 11 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.A retired supervisor with Burroughs-Ross-Colville Company, a United States Army veteran of World War II, and a member of East End Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Jake and Irene Mitchell Starkey. He was married Nov. 29, 1952 to Pauline Boren Starkey, who preceded him in death March 17, 2008. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Starkey and Lois Bailey; and four brothers, Melvin, Marvin, Joe and Leonard Starkey.He is survived by one daughter, Linda Pritchett of McMinnville; grandson, Larry Powers and wife Heather of Manchester; three granddaughters, Lisa Cooper and husband Jerry of Morrison, and Lori Ehrhardt and husband Dale, and Leticia Barnes and husband Gary, all of McMinnville; six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donnie and Doris Starkey of McMinnville and Jimmy and Judy Starkey of Lenoir City; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Grace Starkey of Nashville, and brother-in-law, Bill Bailey of McMinnville.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today in High’s Chapel with Kevin Key officiating.
