Mr. Earl Wayne Smith, 81, of McMinnville passed away Saturday, March 26, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 5, 1940 in Daylight, TN, and was retired from both TDOT and as a land surveyor. Earl was a member of Charles Creek The Baptist Church, enjoyed traveling, and played some golf from time to time.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Lucy Parsley Smith, wives Wilma Gean Smith and Elizabeth Pugh Smith, and brothers Ernest (Velda) Smith, William (Lorraine) Smith, and Ora Arlan Smith. He is survived by his son Garry Smith, sister Jenel (Ike) Farrer, grandchildren Shelby (Matthew) Durham and Sain Allen Smith, great-grandchild Bowen Durham, sister-in-law Rhevelle Smith, cousins, other family members, and friends.
Funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Nick Pelham will officiate. Interment will follow at Charles Creek Cemetery. Visitation with the family was held Tuesday and again on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at McMinnville Funeral Home.
