Douglas Bryan Capshaw, 57

McMinnville resident and Detroit, Mich., native Douglas Bryan Capshaw, 57, was born Sept. 27, 1964 and died Oct. 23 at Unity Medical Center in Manchester following an extended illness.             

A former mechanic at Willmore Ford and materials handler at Pine Hill Plastics and a member of Christ United Methodist Church, he was the son of the late Clarence and Flossie Callebs Capshaw.

Mr. Capshaw is survived by son Calleb Capshaw of Knoxville, daughter Brittney Capshaw of McMinnville, two sisters Donna Kay Powers and Deborah Ann Lee, both of McMinnville, aunt Dora Callebs of Michigan, two nephews Allen Lee of McMinnville, and Brent Powers of Murfreesboro, and great-nephew Xander Lee.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, at High’s Chapel with Sommer Worley and Mark Carrigan officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be 8 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
