McMinnville resident and Grundy County native Dorthy Mae Rogers, 89, was born Feb. 14, 1935 and died June 7, 2024 at her residence following an extended illness.
A homemaker and a member of the Baptist church, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Minnie Sanders McCormick. She was married to Delmas Ferrell Rogers who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Judy Annette Garrison and six siblings.
Mrs. Rogers is survived by son, William Lloyd (Betty Kay) Garrison of McMinnville; seven grandchildren, Jason Garrison, Vanessa Garrison, Brandon Garrison, Jessica Garrison, James Dewayne Bates, David Bates and Patricia Kay Bates; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Monday, June 10 in High’s Chapel with Tommy Lee Myers officiating. Burial followed at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Coffee County. Visitation was Sunday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at High’s.
