McMinnville resident and Warren County native Dorothy Maxcine Braston, 64, was born May 8, 1953 and died Sept. 27 at her residence following a brief illness.
Retired from Yorozu and a member of East End Drive Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Gladys Brown Terry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Brenda Joyce King, Sue Carol Thomas and Hobert Brown.
She was married to Jerry Braston of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children and spouses, Leslie and Wilson Martin of McMinnville, Robert Officer of Chattanooga, Jermaine Officer of Nashville and Tori Officer of McMinnville; nine grandchildren and one step-grandson; sister and brother-in-law, Eva and Fred Savage of McMinnville; four siblings and spouses, Larry and Lisa Brown of McMinnville, Patricia Dillard of Georgia, Denise Grayson of McMinnville and Teresa Blakely of Knoxville; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends Randall Pleasant and Vanessa Peppers.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1 in High's Chapel. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from noon until the time of service at High's. Online condolences may be made at
