Mrs. Dorothy Mai Reed, 95, of Morrison died Friday, Dec. 17, at Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.
She was born Feb. 16, 1926, in Woodbury, was a clerk with Big Lots store, a homemaker, and a member of the Browntown Church of Christ. Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by her parents Ernest Lemiul and Bessie Pittard Tenpenny, husband George Reed, sisters Grace Swider and Louise Tenpenny, and brother James Tenpenny.
Survivors include her sons Roger D. (Sharon) Reed, Bryan V. (Sharon) Reed, and George David (Sharon) Reed Jr., grandchildren Phillip (Jami) Reed, Adam (Jessica) Reed, Kevin Reed (Lindsey Cagle), Josh (Danielle) Reed, Donna Reed, Jamie Gilliam, Betsy White (Zach Burdick), and David Reed (Candida Cook), and 14 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service and interment will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Eugene Wilkerson and Marty Tenpenny will officiate. The Reed family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m., and again Monday from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
